It's about 3 months. Then it resets the home charging. Just went L2 to avoid it. Put in a 240, 20 amp circuit and use the standard L1 EVSE.
I have my original charge cord connected to 240 20a (6-20? converter)

Just odd, I would have figured it would get thrown when I plugged it in

Okay, found the correct reference, had to follow the rabbit hole to the end

Expiration
The charge level preference at the
home location is stored for up to
90 days. After 90 days, a notification
will display on the screen and the
charge level preference will need to
be reset for the next 90 days

According to the manual, it says:

The Charge Limit Preference setting
resets to the Reduced 8 amp setting
each time the vehicle is driven
My manual says:

Expiration
The charge level preference at the
home location is stored for up to
90 days. After 90 days, a notification
will display on the screen and the
charge level preference will need to
be reset for the next 90 days.
