Finding that it's difficult to connect my charger to my 2017 Volt Premier in the dark or my dim garage. How about a little LED light on above the charger recepticle, or on the inside of the charger port door that illuminates when opened?

Also if I am not mistaken, the Gen-1 EVSE chargers (maybe some of them) had an LED light on them so you could find the charge port in the dark.

Yes, my OEM Charge Cord has that light, my Clipper Creek does not. I must admit it comes in handy sometimes.

That is the only thing I don't like about my Clipper Creek EVSE.

I thought GM had a patent on this feature for the 2011 Volt, though I can't find the link anymore.

Mine doesn't have that either...which is annoying.
I finally used velcro to attach a small cheap knockoff keychain light to mine.

I haven't had any issues since when I'm away from home there's always been a street light a block away. But I can situations where it would be useful in near pitch conditions.

If they add one I just hope it doesn't stay on AFTER it's plugged in. It just attracts way to much attention in our work parking after dark, which is not in the best part of town and frequently "visited".

I have the same problem in my garage. The overhead light does not light up the port to let me see what I am doing. I found that a light shining up a the charge port works best. I bought a cheap LED push-on light that I mounted on the wall about a foot below the port. Works very well.

There's an optional charge port light for Gen 2 Volt. On my Gen 1 if I have enough light to find the car, I can plug in to charge it. I have to wonder about these complaints and whether these owners have poor night vision and shouldn't be driving at night.
