Pefectly fine. You can find that most EVSE are indoor/outdoor. If you're opting for outdoor, make sure the charge cord is 25ft or longer.

I am considering buying a Volt but one thing holding me back is that I do not have a garage.

My home charging station would have to be outdoors subject to the weather.

I live in the San Francisco Bay area so I don't have to worry about blizzards but we do get some pretty good rain storms.

I was hoping to get some input from anyone who has an outdoor home charging station as to the viability of such a setup.
