I live in the Northeast where we get every kind of weather; it's snowing outside right now. My GE Wattstation is hardwired and mounted to the side of my house. I've been charging every night for over a year regardless of weather with no problems at all. I try to keep rain & snow out of the plug & socket when inserting or removing the plug, and that hasn't been an issue. Many folks here have mentioned being pleased with Clipper Creek charging stations, and they're less costly than the GE. But I liked the looks of the GE and the ease of storing the cord, and so far it's worked perfectly.
