I am not a big fan of Home Depot.. but I came across this while look for something else EV related.

BY getting major player outside the “EV” or “Car” industry involved can only help cut costs here..

I do not think they are cheap…. But still it opens it up to Wal-Mart’s and Lowes, etc.

Some good options, I have not seen the Legrand before.

Wow, Home Depot has really been adding EVSEs. Just last month, they only had the Schneider.

Legrand info:
L1EVSE Level 1 Portable Electric Vehicle Charger 1.4kW 12A 120V
L2EVSE16 Level 2 Electric Vehicle Charging Station 3.8kW 16A 240V
http://www.legrand.us/passandseymour/ev-chargers/level 2/l2evse16.aspx

So, the Legrand Level 2 is not different than the Voltec 240V but costs $259 more.
The Level 1 seems very similar to the Volt provided unit but costs about $100 more.

Leviton sure has some cajones to charge $900 for a Level 1 EVSE.

Lowe's has also started to sell electric level 2 EVSEs. They are selling the GE Universal Electric Vehicle Charging Station for $999.
