Hi,

I recently becomes a volt owner, a second hand 2012's volt. It's really nice car and i drive it to work everyday!

I started to love this car more and more! But i have some problems sometimes, because GM is not selling chevy in Europe.

But i will try to find all the info i need here. I noticed that there are many useful threads which will help me!

Thank you for sharing!

Aside from some trim and panels, it's an Opel Ampera, which might be easier to find service for.

Welcome. Enjoy your Volt! Can you tell us the manufacturing month and year? The information is located on the B pillar down low. That information may help us to help you if you ever have trouble with your car.

I leased a 2012 for three years and loved it so much that I bought a new 2014 from the dealer in June of 2015. It had been sitting on the lot for a year. I've had no problems with it and it currently has over 52,500 miles on the odometer.

I would question whether or not the software is identical. It probably is not. That might cause the Ampera dealers to be unable to make repairs to the Volt, other than some purely mechanical ones.
