HELP! I am desperately searching for GM Part# 24285319 - Automatic Transmission Wiring Harness (not available in CANADA - back-ordered for months). I am car-less without this part.

Just buy a used harness from a wrecked Volt! I needed the charge port (was ripped out) and it was not available in Detroit new. Instead of parking my car forever I bought a used charge port assembly, from Canada by the way. Plugged/bolted it in myself and I was good to go.

I would still try that route, if part is no good then return it! Worst case I would try to fix the harness myself or get it "rebuilt" if even possible. I love driving my Volt and pulled it from the dealer after three weeks of waiting for the part to "magically" appear! My Volt would still be parked at the dealer collecting dust today 3 months later! Question is how long will your car be parked waiting for parts? Proactive solutions can get most jobs done in a timely manner, at least that has been my experience!

I am not a mechanic and apparently replacing this part requires a lot of removal of parts to access it.

Please understand that I am not criticising your choice or technical abilities. All I'm saying is I would try to find some way to get the repair done, investigate/create other options that's all. There is more than one way to skin a cat is all I'm saying, thinking outside of the box may be your only option at some point. I don't listen to "sorry there's no way we can help you" I push past that and try to find another option, doesn't always work but I try anyways. I would start by having the defective part removed and handed to me then proceed from there.

It's highly doubtful that ANY members would simply have the part you want sitting around.
Also, beware of sellers with one post. Even a few posts, review and research them carefully. We've seen these one post wonders take the money and not deliver.
