Hello all! I'm glad to have found an active, thriving community of folks who seem to share a common objective.

My primary interest is reducing our dependence on foreign oil and providing a clean environment for my children, grandchildren (when they come :) and successive generations to inherit.

To that end, I'm very active in the alternative energy movement and with research and political advocacy of alternative fuels and cars such as the Chevy Volt.

I maintain two weblogs that discuss alternative energy issues:

PetroZero.org is a weblog where myself and others post commentary on alternative energy issues.

PetroZero.com is a video weblog that follows alternative energy advocates and festivals to bring audio and video commentary to the public. Recent speakers include Vinod Khosla, Bon Lutz, Robert Zubrin, Rick Wagoner, and many others.

Hello from Toney, AL too!

I'm looking to start up a group of Huntsville, AL area Volt (and Leaf) owners so that we can show the local malls, theaters, and fine restaurants how many people they could serve with a level 2 charger. Another idea we can put out there is to ask if we buy the charger will they install it? We can put together a bunch of information to give them that shows how much more money it would bring in because we would visit there more often, spend more time there, and we are usually of higher income (usually). All for very little electricity cost.
What say you?
Also, I couldn't find a thread in this forum for specifically Huntsville area so should I start a whole thread just for this area?

Thanks!
Josh P.
