Hey guys,

I'm glad to be here and discuss the Chevy Volt with like minded individual. It's so nice to have a forum to ourselves where we can share out experience and also ask questions. I've been lurking around for a few days and I'm impressed so far.

Anyway, I just leased a 2017 Volt. I use to have Cadillacs in the past and this blows them away. This car is the real deal. I also happen to work where this vehicle is designed at the GM Design Center at the Warren tech center, but don't expect me to tell you anything as far as designs. On a full charge I'm only getting 47 miles and I'm assuming that is because it's cold out?

Congrats on the car! Glad you're enjoying it. As for Cadillac, your Volt is definitely not blowing my ELR away! ;)

Yes cold weather greatly affects range. Also the range is an estimate, and not a perfect one. You may be getting 47 miles, more, or less. The only way to be sure is to track the miles.

Welcome aboard, COLD kills range, as does SPEED and TERRAIN, this is called the Three T's (Temperature, Technique and Terrain) you'll learn to master them as you roll up the miles. Also suggest pumping the tires up to 38 PSI COLD.
