You know how people always say December is the best month for snagging great deals? Turns out for the Bolt that was probably last month. At least for CARB staters.

Reports are several high-volume Bolt dealers in CA sold out of their Bolt inventory at the end of last month, and are currently waiting for new shipments of Bolts to arrive. And those units are selling as soon as they hit the lot, at least in the SF Bay area. Lease incentives have been confirmed being reduced for December, from $4,800 to $3,800 (in CARB states. It’s possible non-CARB incentives stayed the same).

On the flip side, GM is now offering employee pricing on Bolts ($3k+ off MSRP), so for people in non-CARB states with dealers that barely budge off MSRP, the sales environment may actually be better this month.

With the threat of Congress killing the federal EV tax credit, expect Bolts (and lots of other EVs) to be in high demand this month. There are currently a little over 3,400 Bolts in stock nationwide according to cars.com. That number should drop drastically as the month progresses.

Ok, I had another SoCal dealer give me the lease numbers for Bolts this month.
For 36 month leases:

Residuals: 61/60/58% (10k/12k/15k miles) *1% lower residuals for Premier trim*
Money factor: .00088/2.11%
Lease cash: $3,770 ($1,100 non-CARB states)
