GM presentation on autonomous vehicles

This isn't different from the earlier presentation. Not surprising. I like the idea that all autonomous vehicles need to be electric. Funny how these things work. GM may have been dragged kicking and screaming to electrification, but electrification may turn out to enable its success in autonomy, which would be a huge deal. Unintended consequence.

Looks like they plan on AV being twice as safe as a human driver at launch. I assume that’s the “average” human driver. That’s good. But essentially, they’re trying to introduce a technology that is known to be defective to some degree.
