If GM's claim of below $100/kWh battery is true, this is a game changer in the EV revolution especially it would result in mass affordability of many Electric Vehicle models!

GM's approach this time is better, and is similar to Tesla-Panasonic partnership in building the first battery Gigafactory. Economies of scale is easily realized. By building their own supply in close partnership with LG Chem, GM can scale up easily as demand for their EV's goes up and they can compete with price, range and performance. Welcome to the next phase of the EV Revolution!

At 100 kWh per vehicle (hot segments: SUV, CUV, Trucks) for average of 250-300 mile range, GM's limited to 300,000 vehicles a year for a 30 GWh/year capacity.
