Apple Watch

The latest version of the MyChevrolet App for iPhone includes support for the Apple Watch 2 and Apple Watch 3. Currently the MyChevrolet App for the Apple Watch requires a Bluetooth connection between the Apple Watch and the iPhone to use the Apple Watch MyChevrolet App. If you decide to get an Apple Watch 3 with LTE support text messaging, phone calls, and tap to pay will function without requiring you to carry your iPhone. The MyChevrolet App does not currently support LTE connectivity so your iPhone needs to be within Bluetooth range to use the MyChevrolet App functions on the Apple Watch. Perhaps in the future the MyChevrolet App will support LTE connectivity.

If you have a compatible Apple Watch you can access specific MyChevrolet functions including:
Remote Functions to Lock and Unlock Doors, Precondition your Vehicle, Sound the Horn and the Flash Lights.
Vehicle Locator finds and displays the current location of your Chevrolet Vehicle on the watch screen.

You can store your OnStar PIN in the Apple Watch so you don't have to enter the OnStar PIN each time you use the remote functions.
The other MyChevrolet functions including displaying battery state of charge/charging information, tire pressure, mileage and efficiency information and vehicle recall information are not available on MyChevrolet App on the Apple Watch.

If you use Apple Maps for navigation the Apple Watch provides haptic feedback to the wearer along the route, tapping the wearer's wrist to indicate upcoming turns and displaying turn information on the watch screen. The Apple Watch haptic feedback also functions when you use CarPlay and Apple Maps.

While limited in functions the MyChevrolet App on the Apple Watch is convenient and easy to use once set up.
