Ok, just bought a 2011 a few days ago, loving it. However, unlike our existing 2012 I found that a lot of things are not actually user configurable (bummer!), so, I guess a trip to the dealer is in order to get some things adjusted.
Here's my list so far:
- Disable charge loss alert. I may still want it on OnStar (should work separately, it's disabled on the car itself on our 2012 but still functions via OnStar), but I don't want the alarm going off in the driveway if my L1 charger happens to get unplugged in the garage, a breaker pops in the middle of the night, etc. My wife has the L2, so for the meantime I'm just using the second L1.
- Disable charger cord theft alert. I secure the cord other ways, do not care about this...and by the time the horn is honking and anyone pays attention the thieves are likely long gone with the EVSE anyways.
- Enable auto-locking when fob leaves the proximity of the car. REALLY miss this vs our 2012, I find myself leaving my 2011 inadvertently unlocked all the time now! I hope it's an option they can turn on....
- Probably get the all-windows-down option disabled while I'm at it, did this by accident a few times with my wifes car, don't need to accidentally leave all mine down either.
I can't help but think that I'm missing a few things as well that I'd like to change while the dealer is in there.
Lastly...anyone know of any laptop/software combination that will allow me to adjust these options myself? If I can invest $100-$200 in something that lets me tweak things myself vs paying a dealership this much once, I'd probably go that route.
