Anyone have a good parts diagram source to show exploded views? I need to replace the DRL fang on the drivers side since some road debris shattered it and wanted to see how hard of a job it would be.

Luckily the paint buffed back to 90%; but the drl housing exploded. Oddly the led lights still illuminate.

Also wondering if anyone has a good parts website to buy OEM parts. Every site so far either has no clue a 2017 volt exists and says the drl for a 2016 is discontinued. Going to see what the dealership wants for one.

You'll have to pop off the lower fascia to access the DRL assembly. This involves removing some trim screws on top and bottom of the fascia as well as the left and right hand side wheel wells. The lower fascia will have a couple of harness connector that you have to disengage to completely get it off the car.

Don't buy anything from gmpartsdirect. They're scammers and when you think their pricing is okay, they hit you with an exorbitant shipping/handling charge. Good luck!

x2 They've been like that for 10 years at least.
They are a GM dealership down south. Many similar options out there.

I ordered a new part from my dealership and the repair was fairly straightforward.
- Remove driver side wheel
- Remove driver side wheel splash gaurd
- Remove driver side front fender liner (not fully, just hang to get access)
- Remove undercarriage body panel (same material as fender liner)
- Remove old DRL by wiggling and scrapping knuckles (3 screws and one electrical harness)
- Install new DRL by wiggling and scrapping knuckles (DRL wedges in front of bumper on black side)
- Install everything the way it was

I was also able to fix the paint damage 99% to new with my random orbital and various polishes. Here are the before and after pics:
