I've noticed that the backup camera seems to keep 'clean' better on the gen2 than my gen 1. To be honest, we haven't had much rain recently, and the true test will be winter, but I swear that the slightest amount of rain on my gen 1 resulted in a pretty much unusable backup camera, but on gen2 it rained a bit last week and on the weekend, and I had a clean camera image when I got to my destination.

Have others moving from gen1 noticed the backup camera stays 'cleaner'? Like I said, I really hope this carries over into winter because at times I would have to get out and clean the backup camera on my gen 1 before parking.

I've got a Gen1. The Kammback is severe and causes the rear to be a dust/dirt/water magnet. My thought is that the Kammback effect is not as pronounced on the Gen2. Probably a trade-off of style verses efficiency.
