ive searched and i had found a thread with someone advertising that they offer custom leather seat covers for the volt...but a photo is worth a 1000 words and there were no photos and the words left even less of a convincing want.

i am posting this to ask any of you folk out there if any of you have custom made custom tailored leather / pleather seat covers for your volt right now...do you like them? do they install easily? are they holding up?? do they match the colors of the interior? and most importantly DO YOU HAVE PHOTOS? this is also addressed to the few of you out there that may be selling them.

i am looking for any kind of proof that these wont cost double while fitting as good as the stuff you buy from autozone or walmart thats made to fit "all chevy seats"

help me out here :)

dealer quoted me 2K for leather seat install in a non leather volt... if these katzkin covers are the price i saw...its the most expensive option between finding salvage yard seats online from a wrecked volt and having the dealer straight up install them.

the point of using covers over the cloth was to save a penny compared to the seat swaps.

They are stupid expensive and it's not just the Volt. I've got a Fiat 500 and they are around the same price for my tiny car ;) I've seen leather (real) covers on carcoverplanet.com for around $500 which seems a bit more realistic in my mind. Not a huge range of colors and maybe not the highest quality, but they're affordable. For what Katzkin wants, I would be tempted to just check a local upholstery store to see what they can do. I've known people who have had really good results from local businesses and I've even known some people who got a good deal using a marine upholstery business. Sometimes you can get deals if they have leftover pieces from larger jobs, etc.
