Yes and Yes. Amazing improvement. They light up the whole driveway when on. I have tried others and none came anywhere hear these. I am not getting any light out error either. Not sure if that is setup for the backup, but none showing with these bulbs. They use a bit more then most LEDs would because there are so many elements in them.

So I bought some of these 12 LED bulbs that contain a current regulator instead of the normal cheap resistor. Here is a comparison of the my previous 52 LED (with resistor).
52 Led on left, 12 LED on right.

I reversed the position of these in the following pics and I powered them on from a bench power supply.
Laying on a paper background

holding them above the paper background.
The top projector on the 12 LED is more intense further out. Also the 12 LED is drawing 6.5A while the 52 LED is drawing 3.5A

I will check this tonight when it gets dark. I can visibly tell the 12LED buib is brighter although in daylight.

I installed one and it works great. My enclosure is reflective and directs the light backwards.

I also installed a LED light in the rear hatch area. I first installed a normal LED light you can get from the auto parts store, and it wasn't bright enough. I then spent $10 on the super bright one and put a piece of silver metal tape behind it, and it is brighter and much cooler than the old light. And a better color temperature light as well.
