Just thought I would share this with everyone. My public library has access to the Chilton online library which contains the service manuals for most cars. basically, they just give you a code for free and you can access it whenever and wherever you want.

Then simply choose the make, model, and year, and have fun!

I entered and searched for servicing the Ford Fusion Energi which I found, but the best one can doon each is print it. No downloads are available. The 2017 Chevy Volt only has a maintenence and recall list, no servicing.

I also have to stop in and give credit where credit is due. Purchased a slightly damaged Volt a few weeks ago and this access was incredibly valuable in replacing the curtain air bags, doors, SRS module, passenger seat, and rear view mirror.

How did you get the code...physically go to the library? What did you ask for?

You can "print" the documents to a PDF. I use BullZip PDF which installs like a printer driver, but it converts the document into a PDF file which you can save to the computer and print out later. There are similar programs available, but BullZip is free and works very well:
