At quick read, they are touting parallel hybrids with compounded maintenance problems. The electric motor is only for assisting acceleration.

I won't be interested in parallel hybrids. But it is good to know that Toyota has a competitor in parallel hybrid. I wonder if it was licensed to them or they are willing to take patent lawsuits.
