Check this out. Is this something we have to worry about, or is the proximity limit of our Gen 2 fobs enough to make the steps in the article unnecessary?

In a word, Yes, but then, I don't worry much about things like that, I like living too much to worry about every little thing :D

You might wait until there was at least one instance of a crime being actually reported. It's like RFID protection for wallets and purses. Lots of scary marketing but no substance. In my admittedly limited experience, the bad guys are interested in opportunistic crime, like open car doors or smash and grab stuff you left on your passenger seat.
