My 2017 has the FCA with low speed FAB? Up til now all I have experienced is the FCA, until this morning.

I was pulling into my garage (slight incline) and maybe moving at 4 mph with no obstructions when for no reason and with stunning speed the FCA goes off and almost simultaneously the car braked to a stop in what I would describe as a "controlled panic stop". The speed with which it responded and engaged was stunning.

I'm guessing my speed as I reached the crest or threshold of my garage (just the right circumstances) triggered the event.

I now have way more appreciation and confidence in the FAB. I'm going to try replicate the event just so I can learn more about one of the new features I wanted in my new Volt. Knowing it's there and works to save me should I need it is reassuring.

A couple of years ago on the first day we first got our Subie with these safety features, I took a large, empty TV box to a unused parking lot and tried them out. The first couple of times it's incredibly freaky to not brake and "keep your foot in it" as you approach the object and trust in the car. My wife couldn't do it, chickened out and braked so we switched out and she watched me to get the confidence to try it herself. LOL
