Funny you mentioned this. I was just there at Oahu last week. The Tesla showroom on Waikiki was right next door, but I didn't spot any Tesla on the road for the first few days. I think I did see one or two eventually. This is definitely different from here in Silicon Valley where it feels like Tesla out numbers Volt/Bolt combined. 
I did spot a few Volts, was contemplating whether I should wave until I suddenly remembered I was driving a rental Chevy Trex.
