I was walking up the hill as the Bolt passed going downhill. It didn't really catch my eye like a Volt would have, but I noticed the front grille looked a little different and after it passed I turned around and saw "Bolt EV" on the back.

Tesla model S is the most common EV here, we see a lot of those. Quite a few Nissan Leafs (Leaves?) too. Not as many Volts but there are some. EVs really only make sense if you have Solar panels on the roof as it would be cheaper to buy gas otherwise.

Funny you mentioned this. I was just there at Oahu last week. The Tesla showroom on Waikiki was right next door, but I didn't spot any Tesla on the road for the first few days. I think I did see one or two eventually. This is definitely different from here in Silicon Valley where it feels like Tesla out numbers Volt/Bolt combined. ;)

I did spot a few Volts, was contemplating whether I should wave until I suddenly remembered I was driving a rental Chevy Trex. ;)

After 3 days in Oahu HI I saw 2 LeAFs and a Gen1 Volt. Saw a Volt and Leaf charging at Target in Kapolei. The signage for the charging spots were not very good but at least the spaces were not ICEd and the vehicles ere charging.

Hah! Yesterday I had to go to the North Bay, and it was a Volt day. Kept pointing them out up and back. Final count was 17. with only 2 Teslas, two Bolts, one Leaf and an eGolf all in the space of 5 hours.
