Anyone know the backstory on why FF changed their manufacturing venue? On the surface, they probably lost backing from the Chinese mogul, so instead of building from scratch, it appears they are renting. It amazes me how people think they need to go big or not do anything at all. There are many companies that get their starts in garages, storage units, and smaller warehouses.

Old article from 2016. FF is walking away from $216M in NV tax incentives to collect $12M in Cali? No there's a difference story going on here.
FF is moving to CA probably because NV's monitoring of their tax incentives are on high alert due to Tesla...

Huh, I wonder if there's any possibility that tesla could acquire FF and merge their efforts. I like the looks and utility of the FF far more than any Tesla release so far. The rumored price, though, it probably a showstopper. I think they should write off the prototype as all the things that are possible, but then turn around and make a $50-60K variant for the base mode, a $60-70K version with more cool features and bigger battery and a $70-80K version maxed out (but still less stuff than demo'ed). The uber-maxxed out radar and camera wielding car is just too much gadgetry. I'd just like a car that runs and runs well.

And where are GoogleCar and AppleCar in all this?
