Maybe a silly question...

Is it OK to leave the factory charger plugged into the wall when not in use? Do you think it degrades or shortens the life of the charger by leaving it plugged in when not in use?

I see these cost $500 and want to get as much life out of it as possible.

BTW I have mine sitting on a bench and the wire I looped up in the garage using bicycle hooks (lol) so its not always laying on the dirty garage floor or in a place where my wife would trip over it in the dark garage.

So when I need to charge I just grab it from the hook and plug it in. When done charging, I just place it back on the hook. But it remains plugged into the wall all the time and the green light is always on.

Does it consume any energy when plugged in and not charging?
