Everytime I took my car in for the service in Camino Real Chevrolet, it's always a bad experiences for me. If it's a warranty services, you'll need to wait forever. My 2013 Volt has the problem with the windows won't roll up and just keep clicking. it happened on a Friday late afternoon on my way home from work, so on Saturday morning I drove down to their services department and they've wrote it up and said they'll call me before the end of day. And of course, the call never come. So I call and asked about it and they told me they've been so busy they haven't even look at it yet and I won't know until 9:00 on Monday. And since they don't know if it's under warranty, they won't give me a loaner. (I was stupid enough to purchased the extended warranty from them!), Now my vehicle is in their lot with windows open and I just hope they won't rain this weekend and nobody try to steal anything in it. And from my last few warranty repairs experiences, they've been always days before they get the parts and have anything fix. So as I said before, their sals teams is great, but the services are sub-par and if you want after sales services, go somewhere else.

There are quite a few other dealers around with the better services schedule. I'll post an other update in a few days to let you know my experience this time. I thinks we should also start another group discussion on Sales and Servics so to warn some potential buyers know which deal is good and which to be avoid!

Was this a scheduled appointment or a no warning drive-in?

Actually, GM should whip the "bad" dealers into shape :)
As independent businesses with contractual (and usually legislative) protections, that is very hard to do.

The people that actually have the most power over dealers are customers. If most/all customers refused to do business with "bad" dealers and they would either improve or go out of business.

Thank you Mr Dave, 5+ excellent , and looks pretty independent and concise...Is easy to feel like a" hostage", once they have your car in their hands. I have noticed high pressure to be sure the customer gives 5 stars in everything...perhaps they may have trouble with GM if the evaluation is not perfect.

If they're like my dealer they have trouble closer to home, like upper management trouble. The fish rots (or doesn't) from the head as they say.

Sounds like a over expecting customer to me also. You can’t show up and expect immediate service without making an appointment.
That's the reason I drove there before they open and wait in line!! Can't drive the car out without windows able to close and just want them to give me the info. I did not even expect they fix it the same day. Just if they are under warranty then I would need a loaner under B2B warranty! I paid for the extended warranty and expect to have the services.

Unfortunately I've purchased the extended warranty from this dealer when I purchased the Volt. and it's would be hell to try to get them refund the money so I only take my car there for the warranty services only.

As I said in the original message, their sales are great, just the services are sub-par and that's why I put a post here so to warn others.

I've had very similar experience with my selling dealer in Albuquerque, NM. I've taken the car in a half-dozen times for minor repairs, all under warranty, and every time with an appointment. Appointments mean nothing to these people. Every time I take it in, I get a runaround of some kind. After the last time, I decided to wash my hands of this dealership. Will never buy anything from them again, and will certainly never take my Volt to them again. Fortunately in my area there are several Chevy dealerships to work with.

My local Chevy dealer is just as bad with an appointment. Techs are kids. Service writers are illiterate and everything is done from email or the TAC line because they aren't fit to flip burgers much less work on vehicles.

When my 2015 battery was dropped the windows were left down for a month they taped them up but still leaked and that's not even touching the reasons I lemon lawed the vehicle.

Chevy service just plain flat out sucks. I've yet to find a competent dealer yet, and I won't. I'm done with the brand.

I have two dealers within a few minutes of my house that are both very good. But yes, some are not.
