I really like the XM Stereo but when i'm working near the volt i'd like to set up an external speaker.

is it possible to push XM out the USB Jack or to run an external headset jack to some speakers?

Which XM package do you have? Some include streaming or have it available for an additional $4 a month, then you wouldn't even need to be near the Volt.

My thoughts too. There's supposed to be mobile streaming with certain XM packages.

Otherwise, without cracking open the dashboard, I don't think there's a way to tap into the radio outputs.

YES! It is possible to add a line level output on a Gen1 with Non-Bose head unit.

From the head unit you'd run RCA patch cables to your external amplifier sound system in the garage. A little much to get XM radio out of the car.

How about Bluetooth? There are tons of BT speakers.
