I had a small line of plastic on my gen 1 charger, sort of like a mold seam or something. I shaved it off with an x-acto knife and things were much better. I could hardly believe that things were so tight that a small seam like that would matter, but it did.
EVSE Not Smooth
I use the included EVSE daily and it is difficult to insert and remove and isn’t getting any easier. Looking at it, I don’t see anything obvious that could be causing this. Removing it is usually harder than inserting it.
I’ve used several charging stations, as well as my father’s EVSE, which came with his 2013 Volt and they all go on much smoother and come off easier.
Anyone else that uses theirs regularly experiencing the same thing?

for that application I would suggest a high quality silicone spray that is listed as plastic safe. Don't go with the cheap crap, the savings is not worth it and can do some real damage to plastic over time.
These days I use WD-40 Specialist Water Resistant Silicone for this sort of thing (and also for the tread on my treadmill).
