Thanks!
1/8" drill bit fits through the lock hole in the release button, also 9/64" drill bit will clear. 3/16" is too large.
OK, I can't let this one go... WHAT???
There is a hole in the release trigger lever of the stock Gen II Volt EVSE vehicle connector where you can insert a small padlock making it impossible to disconnect the EVSE from the vehicle without first removing the lock without breaking something.
Thank you. As a Gen1 owner, I didn't know this about the Gen2. Do many use this feature?
I don't worry about locking the EVSE connector when charging because I charge at home, in my garage.
I use a Clipper Creek LCS-20 Level II EVSE to charge at home. The lock hole in the release button/lever of the EVSE connector of the LCS-20 is larger than hole in the connector release button/lever of the stock Gen II Volt EVSE. A 3/16" drill bit fits easily through the lock hole of the LCS-20 while on the stock Gen II EVSE the lock hole is smaller and can only accept a 9/64" or 1/8" size drill bit (or smaller diameter drill bit.)
