Do you have a dedicated parking spot but no means to charge? Envision Solar has an interesting turnkey solution. It has it's own 22 kwh battery to store the energy generated off its solar panels and can transfer up to 16 kwh to your EV. Since it is self contained it does not need a grid connection or permits. Could not find any info on cost, but assume this is pretty expensive.

Interesting, but as mentioned I probably can't afford it.

Take out the batteries, make it grid-tied and I'm ok with this. The 9-module array is too small to recharge 24kWh of batteries every day or even 13kWh which the Volt needs. On a cloudy day, the array will make 2-3 kWh. Great solution for maybe a backwoods location for recharging electric dirt bikes for mountain riding or something like that.
