I've heard mention of the generator being used for emergency power. This could be useful if an outlet for power could be accessed and used with the vehicle locked. For example: the power grid is down and you want to run your refridgerator via extention cord from "Volt". The car should remain locked as the generator is running so it could not be accessed by a child or theif. Is this an old issue?
