I've had a squeaky dash issue that was resolved a couple of months ago, and now it's back. Also, when heading into Pittsburgh a couple of days ago, ran over some rumble strips, and it sounded like the door panels, and rear deck were loose and vibrating. Not very pleasant - car is in the shop for loose gasket/faded trim issues around the driver and passenger side windows. Other than that, car has been working well, just does not seem as tight as it should be. Any one else with that issue? Shot some video..

I honestly couldn't hear anything when you went over the road other than the road. That's not to say it's not there, just that I couldn't hear it. The strips are obviously an issue.

Noise is difficult because the car is so quiet you tend to hear more, especially at low speeds. That said, I believe I have a few rattles in my ELR (though last time I thought that it turned out to be a bunch of coins). Seems that the ELR may not be built as well as the first generation Volts.

Thanks Don - one of these days I'll drive a 16 ELR to see if they are screwed together a little bit better. I had the same issue with my 13 Volt driving down a cobblestone street in Pittsburgh a few years ago - the door panels were buzzing like bees. Time to dynamat the ELR...

My 2014 ELR is "screwed together" just fine. No rattles, no squeaks, no buzzes, no issues at all. Let's stop generalizing about an entire model year based one one person's experience.

Mine has significant rattles and buzzing. There is a thread about loose isolation panels in between the roof and the head liner in some Volts. This is what mine sounds like. (Like dynamat that has come loose).

Also, I could swear that there is noise coming from the anti-noise Bose system when going over road parts that have some kind of syncopation. When you're going highway speed it is difficult to isolate sounds though.

Since it happens rarely, I never went to the dealer with these things.

Sorry to hear your're having the same issue, Loboc. Everything is fine when on a smooth road. Not a generalization about an entire model year, but an observation on my part. I do have a contact at GM, and messaged him through FB:

"Hi. I wish i could help you..it is the holiday shutdown week(s) for GM. So no one is around...for this week and likely next week. So i will not be into work until next monday to see if i can find a manager in the interior group who may know.

I had gotten hired direct 1.6 years ago into the powertrain division. I used to be in the building for the interior group before being hired direct. So i do not know who it would be to contact / forward this onto.
Please feel free to send me another message next week.

Hope your holiday is going well ! Cheers!

Also note...Its very tough to eliminate squeaks and rattles with these EV quiet cars vs ICE. And too, the ELR has fewer sales..therefore, less customer/dealer feedback to the engineers.
Local dealership is the first place to inquire, and i think there is a number you can call for Cadillac...maybe there is an Onstar ELR advisor who may be a good resource ?"

I do have a case open with GM at this point. Eager to hear the input from the interior group team at GM...

No real rattles on mine, but did have the buzz. Couldnt isolate. At first sounded like passenger door, but I could reach over and grab the door with no effect. Started to think it was coming from the back seat. Actually was pretty easy to reproduce on a slightly rough road.
Dealer found a couple broken clips in the back seat/rear deck. Silent ever since.....
