hello guys I bought my first volt and it seems I am in big trouble now. I have 3 DTC P1E00 U1838 P0D39, I have no an idea what does it mean. can you give me a little advice please? also my car stops charging when I plug the charger.

Please help us help you by providing the year of your Volt. Is it a 2011 or a 2015? What is the mileage? Where are you located? How did these errors start? Do you have a check engine light or any other messages on the screen? What happens to the light on the dash when you insert the charge plug?

ok the car is 2013, the millage is 30k, dash warning lights only shows unable to charge thats it. yellow light comes on it never turns into green. also my check engine light is always on I tried to disconnect 12v battery but check engine light is still on.

I don't think you tried very hard.

Based on the link to the diagnostic code PDF's I posted above,

U1838 = Lost Communication with Battery Charger Control Module on Bus H. Detects that CAN serial data communication has been lost with the Battery Charger Control Module on Bus H

P0D39 = Battery Charger Input Current Sensor Circuit Range/Performance (AC Input Current SensorRationality). DTC Fail Sets when the AC Current zero offset value is greater than or equal to a current threshold.

the same was mine, remember if you have U1838 P0D39 and car writes unable to charge 99% its charger inverter, i changed mine and everything is ok
