Double Chirp On Charging Has Disappeared

2502 Views 12 Replies 8 Participants Last post by  Stockholm Volt
When I first got the vehicle, I noticed that when plugging in, the horn chirps to indicate charge has commenced.

Now it's completely gone. Silent. Not sure what happened. Vehicle setup shows charge feedback setting as ON.

Anyone else have this issue?

Cheers

I have a 2017 MY....it charges fine as far as I can tell It's always full in the mornings.

About the volume...is there a volume setting for external feedback?
Did you disable the low speed artificial vehicle sound (by disconnecting/disabling a fuse)? The same module that produce the artificial sound is responsible for charge feedback beeps. Check the operation of the module, it should emit a sound when in D (roll your window down and listen for the noise towards the front of the vehicle). The module may have gone bad.
Are you sure they are on the same circuit? The manual doesn't mention anything related to charging feedback and pedestrian warning fuses being the same. What amperage is that fuse? I'll take a look.
On Gen1, a double beep when plugging in meant charging would be delayed using the time of use schedule. Is that the same on gen2? If so, perhaps delayed charging got changed? It would still single beep though so maybe it is something else.
Yeah it did that as well when it worked. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the fuse? Can anyone confirm the F5 fuse is 10 Amps?
No one? Bump on the fuse value.
The F5 fuse under the hatch floor is indeed a 10 amp fuse.
Cheers Tsquare.
