Why get an ELR if you are going to destroy it's looks with those monstrosities? The ELR is a beauty, please don't trash it with those things.

I understand your concern. I always park in the back 40 where the modern human will never go because they would have to walk longer to get where they want to go.

Agreed. That looks disgusting. Just park far enough away and you'll be fine. Also suggest that you don't park across spaces. Otherwise you attract attention you don't want and someone may ding/key your car on purpose. The added benefit of parking far away is that you get more exercise.

I see that they are meant to be put on the car when you park, removed when you return. Missed that detail the first time.

So I'll revise my assessment.

Your ELR will only look hideous while parked, and if you were forced to park in a public park high-rise, sure, go for it. You may still get dinged depending on the contours of the door hitting your ELR.

Also carry a spray cleaner , rinse water, towel. I see in the comments:' "YOU NEED TO BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN REMOVING THESE. Dirt gets into the area where the magnets are and can be very abrasive" You may be substituting scratched paint for possible door dings.

Yeah, the dirt being pushed into the paint by the magnets is a real concern if you don't meticulously clean the area where you're sticking these. Same problem with people using action cams and magnetic mounts on their cars.

Like everyone else already said, just park farther and carry an umbrella if necessary. Walking's good for you too. ;)

Excellent advice, gentlemen! Will forego the magnet option and elect for more walking. Not much rain in AZ so won't worry much about carrying an umbrella.
