Just bought a 2018 LT this weekend. They didn’t say anything about 2 free service visits. I’ll ask Chevy but first was wondering if anyone knows. Our 16s did.

Thanks

For 2016 -2018 it was 2 free scheduled maintenance visits including a free 12 point inspection. 2 tire rotations and 2 free oil changes were included in the first 24 months or 30k miles.

For 2019 Volt the vehicle purchase includes 1 oil change, not sure about the tire rotations.

Of course if there is a problem with the vehicle while it is under the 36 month bumper-to-bumper warranty you can bring the Volt into the dealer's service department to diagnose and correct the problem at any time.

Thanks. I thought that it was still in place. They never even bothered to tell me about that, but I already suspected that based on the prior purchases.

1 complimentary oil change for the Volt makes sense. The only reason I've had two oil changes is because they were free. Remember, these actually aren't free - they're hidden in the purchase price of the car.

Just DON'T take the free tank of gas if you plan to be 99 % electric :)

This is because they know that they will never see you again. :( Selling a Volt is a sad thing for a dealer because it rarely needs maintenance and they don't break.

Depending on usage, our first oil change comes 10K-30K miles. Aside from that, everything else we'd see the dealer for in the first few years should be warranty service - so I've never understood what good these "free service visits" are except marketing fluff.

I’d have to dig it up, but I read some fine print that said if you bought a Volt after, like May 2018 (like I did), you only got one service visit and oil change. I think corvettes also were exempted from the standard 2 year 2 visits.

---
Adding here that this is wrong. 2018's look like we get two. 2019's only one visit. See my correction a few posts below.

Thanks. I did not get any paperwork at all on this this time. I’ll ask when I eventually take it in.

I think I'm wrong about what I wrote above. It looks like from the link below, it is 2 visits for 2018's. And 2019's are limited to one.
Apologies for the confusion.

"With Chevrolet Complete Care† select scheduled maintenance services are covered in the first 2 years or 24,000 miles (whichever comes first)—including up to two oil changes and four-tire rotation.

For 2019 models†, Chevrolet Complete Care includes your first required maintenance visit within the first year of vehicle delivery providing an oil change, tire rotation and a Multi-Point Vehicle Inspection. Corvette coverage provides two maintenance visits within the first 12 months from vehicle delivery.† Bolt EV coverage provides a tire rotation and multi-point vehicle inspection within the first 12 months from vehicle delivery†. Volt is one service visit within the first 24 months from vehicle delivery.†"

Thanks so much for tracking that down! Looked and couldn’t find it.
