First let me start off with saying that I did this just for fun while tinkering around in my garage... But it worked so I thought I would post. I don't know how long they will last, but they held strong at freeway speeds.

1. Take a Glad Plastic container.... This is the one I used.

2. Using a Razor Blade (scissors will make the container crack) cut a shape similar to mine out of two sides of the container. This is not rocket science, but the larger you make the wings the better they work. Also make sure to leave the lip of the container this is a vital piece. Take your time if you get a good clean cut they will look almost factory.

3. Then just slide onto the vehicle. Using the Lip of the Lid slide under the edge of the plastic triangle piece next to the mirror. You could also use a little double sided tape or something if you want it more permanent. After you like the shape and fit then Paint to your liking.

4. This was a 10 minute project and the results were amazing. Try it just for fun or a more permanent solution. I am going to try different shapes and sizes to see what will work best. I know that you can get the dealer to install a factory mod to fix this problem but this is a quick and easy fix. Enjoy

Interesting, keep us updated!

I simply open my windows about 1.5 inches. Lets air in, no thrumming, and keeps my hair from being mussed (very critical requirement, haha).

I don't get it. The Glad version seems to lay flat against the car's body instead of sticking out in to the air flow like the Blackmill or the one that Chevy will install. Does it change it's shape/position when you are driving, due to pressure from air flow?

I tried something similar with plastic that stuck out about 3/4 of an inch, but I did not achieve any benefit. Not big enough, I guess.
