After watching our Chargers lose again Sunday , I dragged my wife down to the convention center, specifically to see the Eco vehicle section, and the Bolt. (I'm working on her to trade in our Equinox for a Bolt, and then we are a Volt/bolt family). Unfortunately for Chevy, and the convention attendees, the Bolt they displayed was minimalist interior. No floor mats, basic LT cloth seats, no power hooked up to see display, etc. It was dirty inside, and just didn't show well. Weird that GM made that the show case car and had it looking so shabby. (in addition it was that awful burnt orange color--that's just my opinion)
On the positive side, I got to see the new Toyota Hydrogen car (I thought it looked great) and they had many other eco models from all manufacturers, including these cool conversion cars done by this company called zelectric. I have a picture of that converted bug, and the Toyota. Vehicle Car Automotive exterior Bumper Automotive lighting

Did you drive one of the 4 they had out front? I did. I took to the interface pretty fast as it had some similarities with the Volt. The 'L' on the drive selector is one pedal driving with dynamic braking to a stop- much more than the Volt's rate of regen. The steering sucked...it tramlined in ruts...strangely it didn't seem to torque steer, but they were software limiting it in a big way before 25 mph because right at 25, the car scoots.

Mike, I did not get to drive one. Sunday night when I got there they were not out there. Glad to hear they did have some for hands on demo though.
I am taking my Volt into Weseloh for the propulsion recall and first tire rotation a week from Saturday. I hope to drive one while I wait.

Did you just recently have eye surgery or other eye trauma? :) I saw one in LA last week and concluded the car was even uglier in person than the pictures, and I thought the pictures looked pretty fugly, lol.

I guess it's all a matter of opinion. I saw the Bolt EV in Los Angeles also and my impression is the opposite of yours.

I agree. Toyota has recently made their vehicles very similar to each other that I could tell from a long distance even when they have the hi-beaming lights still on in opposite traffics. Annoying as they are popular cars but driven by some of the worst drivers in my area. Almost got hit by a Gen 4 white Prius that came into my lane forcing me to honk my horn to get their attention. Even then they didn't seem to notice until I accelerated from the off road road lane in front of them to get them back into their right lane.

I was told they had received 11 Bolts. Most of them were optioned, but they did have one white poverty package car that only had one or two options for $37k-ish. I thought the wheels looked a bit plain on the LT, but otherwise that would be the one I would go for. I was not surprised to see electricians had installed two more charging stations. Seems that EV's are a big part of the sales at Weseloh chevy now.

Mirai doesn't look that bad. Head-on, it looks pretty cool. Profile and from the rear? Fugly.
