2017 Volt: this has happened to me only twice now and seems to occur when we connect our Android phone manually via the Bluetooth, but does not seem to happen when the system auto-detects the phone and connects properly.

We get this message on the DIC: "Speech. Listen for Device Response. Exit".

"Exit" is highlighted but cannot be chosen. It sits there like that until the phone is disconnected, turned off or taken out of Bluetooth range. I have not found yet an easy way to remove this message, or what it in fact even means. It seems to be awaiting some Android device speech command but nothing on the phone screen indicates that.

I have gone through the "In_Touch" manual but don't see anything obvious there....

Any help appreciated.

...now I am beginning to wonder if both times I inadvertently requested the "Voice Pass-Thru" feature of the infotainment system. According to the "In_Touch" manual, page 64, if you press and hold the voice activation button on the steering wheel for three seconds it is the equivalent of asking your cellphone for voice input! I suspect that is what the message is all about and that my Android phone did not have that software up and ready to run.
