I happened to see this car and, at least with the higher trim levels, it's a knockout. It's like they let the designers a free hand, with great results.
I didn't see these stats in the video -- I skipped some of it -- but I believe the 0-60 time for the PHEV version is under 5 seconds. That is seriously fast.
The bummer is the electric range is only about 18 miles.
EDIT: Forget everything I said. I saw and was talking about the XC60, not the XC40. In fairness, they kinda look the same. LOL The PHEV version of the XC40 won't show up until next year.
