On a 2013 Volt, is there a way to adjust the brightness of the displays when in daytime mode? The control works fine for night mode, but sometimes the panel seems too bright for my taste when the headlights are not on. The dimmer on the dashboard does not seem to affect the brightness at those times.
In the early mornings when it's dark, my volt would brighten the dash when the sunlight got bright enough to affect the sensor in the center of the dash. You might try some electrical tape on the sensor so that the dimmer continues to work, though that might affect the automatic headlights.
Yes, I realize I can turn on the headlights or otherwise force the Volt into night mode. I was just wondering if there was a setting or dimmer that I failed to find that would affect daytime mode. Sounds like there is none.
I'm planning on tinting my screens as I find them to be to bright at night even on full dim.
