Anyone have this in a Gen 2 Volt? I have a 2017 Premier, and just noticed the sound now that the temperatures have gone down. Happens both left and right turns. Anyone have a similar issue?

Thanks.

Had it in Gen 1. HAVE it in Gen 2. Gen 1 = 3X repairs (each time it returned). Gen 2, dealer said "normal" (so I'll try again at a different dealer).

I also had an Impala loaner once--even that had it! I think it's a GM "signature" that we notice more in our whisper-quiet Volt.

I get a groaning/creaking noise when turning the steering wheel at low speeds.

I plan on asking about it next time I'm at the dealer.

My 2012 was afflicted with that bug (but only in really COLD temps) and dealer fixed it.

No issues with my 2017, knock on wood.

Well—if making noise is normal as claimed—take the car in and have it diagnosed and fixed so it makes noise when turning the wheel. LOL

Good luck getting an appointment though, they're gonna be too busy fixing all the cars that don't afterfire so that they do
