Just got back from Discount Tire and a quick drive. They installed 4 Continental True Contacts.
All I have to say is WOW what a difference. Much quieter and smoother than the Goodyears.

Nice. Let us know if your EV range is affected.

(Pretty much any new tire will be quieter and smoother than any worn tire. With a few exceptions).

I went with Michelin's and they made a big difference. Because new tires always adversely affect range, you'll need to wait until the break in period ends to know what the effect is.

I went with Yokohama Avid Ascends which are much stickier and have a very long tread life.

I'll be getting these tires in September. I'll have had about 52,000 miles on the Goodyears. How many miles did you get from yours?

Small world: I've been to Los Lunas many times. My sister used to live there, renting a beautiful adobe constructed house at the end of Ellen Street and then buying a house on High Plains Street SW. They moved to McAllen, Texas two years ago.

Whatever you do, don't get the PureContacts. I lost 8-10% EV range, and after 8K miles, it still isn't back. I run them at 38-40psi.

I've put a ton of miles on my True Contacts, and am very happy with them still. While I lost a bit of range at first, it's back to normal or better now.

I had 49k on the goodyears. they could have gone longer but i was tired of the noise and it's the rainy season here so I thought it best to trade now.
I had to look Ellen st up.. it's across town in Huning Highlands. I live on the east side of the river just south of Valencia Y. Well, it used to be a Y then it got remodeled. My sympathy to your sister (or anyone who moves to TX).

If you need an all-season, I like the Michelin Defender. In heavy winter conditions, I like the Michelin X-Ice. Since I have no storage space, I run with the Michelin X-Ice all year.
