Ummmm just so everyone knows...

We have expanded our Bolt forums here on gm-volt.com and plan to continue to support the Bolt.
AND
It is our goal to remain THE DEFACTO STANDARD for factual, reliable, and timely information on the Chevy Bolt
(including unrivaled owner support) and for ALL GM electrified products.

THE ORIGINAL AND STILL THE BEST! ;)

(and thanks to our enthusiastic members and moderator team for keeping that way!)

We are now 37,000+ members strong!

I saw this and was like , WTF? :) I ain't going to no ".org" when gm-volt.com has Bolt EV and more. Besides, I also have a volt. Why visit two sites when I can have it all in one?

Thanks for restructuring the bolt forum. It's great.

The other day I checked out the other sites for the first time and there is no comparison. The gm-volt forum rocks. You guys do a great job. Love this community and look forward to making my next vehicle an EV (maybe a Bolt). The moderators and members are hands down the best. I enjoy making a daily stop here everyday. Keep up the good work.

I agree it's been a great forum, but I think the new restructuring is counterproductive. Activity volume is currently too small to support seven Bolt sub-forums. Users will get tired of navigating through multiple sub-forums to read a handful of posts, and so activity will decline. Better to go back to one comprehensive Bolt forum until volume increases.

Yeah, i see what you mean but in about a week or so, the first bolts will start landing into customers hands and the forums will most likely be more active. The moderators are probably trying to be in front of the initial release so it will be less work on them later down the road . These guys aren't paid to do this, so if they have some free time this holiday to do it, then so be it. It had to happen sooner or later. Ideally I would have also prefered to wait a little longer before it was broken up but who am I to criticize especially since I'm not paying for this forum or a moderator who gives up their free time to organize the site and provide great insight into these vehicles. Just my 2 cents.

Point taken, but in our experience most users take advantage of the "What's New" button, the search engine, and emailed thread notifications, as opposed to randomly surfing forums.

We identified long ago that we definitely had way too many forum topics when we first launched with the Gen1 Volt, (and during a couple expansions wit the Spark and ELR) and have endeavoured to identify the most useful and diverse headings as we could in order for someone to head directly to a forum heading that they are interested in.

The "General Discussion" Bolt thread is still present and will be most popular for the time being, but Once Bolts start rolling out to owners we will see more activity in the other forums. Yes, there's sure not to be much activity in the "issues" thread for some time.

Thanks again for everyone's values continued participation here on gm-volt.com

Thank you for this forum! Is there an easy way to just see what is new in the various bolt forums? (I'm not a good Volt candidate but I am very interested in the Bolt)

It's no different than seeing what's new in any of the forums, Volt, Spark EV, ELR, etc. You can click the Form link at the top of this page, under the Volt logo/image, then select the Bolt sub-forum. Or bookmark http://gm-volt.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?561-Chevrolet-Bolt-EV-Owners-Forums You'll see the neest posts in the various Bolt sections listed.

Or, you can click the New Posts link, or the What's New link above and see all the new posts, choosing the ones from the Bolt sections for further reading.

You can also use Advanced Search to search for Bolt, with results sorted by Date descending and save the search settings.
