Hello

The above code went away after a day. I have heard of others have this happen and I do not think it is abig deal. ???

The Volt is a bit sick. A search of the above code says its a ABS pressure pump problem, but the onStar people called it something else. She said transmission and charging, which does not even address ABS or brakes and that I have 7 days? Maybe she read the wrong code. And I called twice.
The car did not start and had a 'service stablity track message". Turn car off and on and she starts. The Volt is usually a she? Check eng icon still on, but seems fine today except for the light
In either case I guess I will have to go to the dealer. The last time they said they do not always have to give you a loaner. But they always do, if they keep it overnight. If just for the day they use the cutomer van and guve you a ride to work.
OH well. I hope its only a bit sick.

The dealer no longer pays for rental if car kept overnight with warranty work. Even though GM will pay them. Is there a way to get GM to pay for a rental without going thru the dealer? Probally not.

Strange code, there is a bulletin that explains this may be a brake issue or a engine computer issue.

If the vehicle has a current or history DTC: C012E symptom code 00 in the EBCM and a C12FE in the ECM, the vehicle has a brake issue. The technician needs to follow SI for DTC:C012E which has you perform a hydraulic test and a pedal travel test to assist in finding a brake issue
 2. If the vehicle has a current or history DTC: C012E symptom code 12 without a C012E symptom code 00 in the EBCM and a C12FE in the ECM, the code sets due to a powertrain code or a power down issue with the vehicle, this is not related to the brakes. Advise the technician to diagnose other DTCs or issues with the vehicle first.

Hello The code went away. I am probally going to cancel the dealer Appt.
I think it has to do with plugging in for just 1/2 hour. I think this has happened to others, if I recall correctly.
