Hi Folks, Anyone else get a consistent -5.0 with their stats in climate settings? I am on eco the majority of the time. But we are having easy going weather and the Climate Control is barely running most of the time.

I can't get a break!

Not that this matters in the long run since our terrain here in the mountains of NC is always gonna smack me down.

Just curious and hope I can correct it if its busted.

Thanks

Yep. I've asked Chevrolet in Oshawa Ontario to find an answer for this but after a month of waiting for an answer, my contact said that they don't know what the problem is!

So the outside temperatures were likely in the 50F range since its positive? Is the defogger on all the time? I leave my in ECO and never gotten close to 5, I figured the only way to get there would be max heat

Same problem with me. -5.0 even on Eco mode. My band aid solution is to just keep only the fan on and it'll go back to 0. Eventually it warms up and keeps the windows from getting foggy.

My temps are around the 5 degree celsius to 10 celsius and my temp thing is -2.0 to -0.5. Never hit positive for that. And my terrain is always -4.0 to -2.0. Never better either lol.

My only plus is the technique, which is always +4.5 or higher.

Yet I still get 80 km range on EV. Can't wait for summer and for the temp to warm up!

Try Off with no defrost and the windows open. Another option is to switch to another screen and vow never to look at this screen again. ignorance is bliss (just like Cipher wanting to go back to the Matrix before he knew the truth to live a normal life). My kids insist on Comfort mode all the time. my wife manually sets eco with defrost vents and manually sets the fan speed with no recirculation. I just hit auto when I'm hot or cold and the defrost button when needed.

I also stopped caring about EV range. I used to track this diligently and drive like a grandpa to try to hit the magical 50 miles of range for a gen1. Now I drive like Jeff Gordon and relish the fun and the fact I'm still getting 70 MPG. I haven't pressed the leaf button to peek at energy consumption or ev range in ages. The car still does a great job without me looking or trying. Remember, it's just a car.

Great advice llninga. Truthfully, I just chill ride without being a fuss bucket. The Volt is joy all around compared to the crap traps I have driven most of my life. I have no complaints.

I just found this issue curious and thought something was off.

But wait...maybe my Volt is even smarter than I gathered.

It may be measuring my life in ways I haven't imagined: My emotional landscape? My spiritual development? My love life? If that is the case then a high score on technique is bangin'

I noticed those stats when I was exploring the screens and had a little chuckle. I have grown up as a Volt driver. When I first acquired my 2014, I kept close tabs on my numbers, registered at VoltStats, the works. This time around I haven't bothered registering my 2017 on VoltStats and I'm just enjoying the ride.
