Some takeaways...

These ads aren't going anywhere...
Person claims he nor anyone else are actors...
Got paid $200...
"When I was talking to people in the lobby, no one seemed that enthusiastic about anything. The second we got in there, it was like magically everyone was the world’s biggest Chevrolet fan."
"I am genuinely surprised to hear that Chevy has won more unimportant awards than any other car manufacturer."

This article notates that known actors have been used (with many listing the commercial on their imbd page), which Chevy and its ad agency states was unintentional...Yet the counterargument is that the best way to avoid alleged dishonest actors is to not recruit folks from the actor capitol of the world, Los Angeles which is where they still currently recruit...

GM had a great ad they produced for a Volt in 2014 or so. Back when they still made real ads, before switching to "focus group".

...Except they actually used produced it for cruze diesel, instead of the car where 90% of people would not need a gas station more than a couple times a year.

GM can have some good commercials, particularly GMC, Chevy has been notoriously bad for the past decade...I'll be the first to admit I did like the Lego bat mobile commercial but it was mainly because it was poking fun of the commercials I dislike...

Chevy EV engineers: brilliant. Chevy marketing, the opposite.

It's not that hard to advertise a hybrid car that is supposedly one of the best performing, all-around alternatives to a regular car with lots of incentives and reasonable pricing.

Thus, it goes without saying that GM has really no interest in pushing hybrids or EVs. They are not committed no matter what anyone claims otherwise. There's too much blatantly obvious behavioral evidence that indicates very clearly with anyone who has the ability to deduce that both the Volt and Bolt are not a priority for GM.

People make all sorts of excuses..."shareholders" this and that...blah blah blah....I think we could do a little without giving a crap about shareholders and their trashing the planet for a few pennies here and there. Sometimes doing the right thing can pay dividends.

I dislike these Chevy's commercials, but like the new Verizon commercial with the grim reaper and friends. But what do I know?

why should anyone take the word of a person who can't keep their word?

I can't stand this ad campaign or any focus group commercial.
The host/actor whatever is the absolute worst. His super dull voice, blehhh
"Spokesperson" who happens to be an actor, Potsch Boyd...My buddy went to his wedding and still occasional meets up with him for a meal, says he's generally pleasant/polite upon first meeting him and if you're lucky enough to have an extended conversation he's downright gutter mouth funny...Wedding blog here: http://greenweddingshoes.com/real-wedding-khali-potschs-whimsical-diy-wedding/

Anyways...First I can't think of a single individual who would "improve" these commercials, perhaps if you had a high energy hulk Hogan the commercial would be more memorial yet not necessarily better...

One thing I'll actually give GM credit for, taking feed back and improving...The first focus group commercials? Made the whole commercial look mean-spirited...At least now the tend to leave you without that bad vibe, yet they're just too vanilla...
