I agree with the artuicle. As for the last question:“Hey, how many miles do you get per killowatt hour?”, the average is 4 miles per kWH, so any EV that does better is really efficient just like the average of 20 MPG was for ICEVs.
If anyonw wants to use a real life value, use cost per mile. If a BEV gives 4 miles per kWH, and cost just $0.12 per kWH, then that BEV has a $0.03 per mile cost (or commonly said as "three cents per mile"). Some can get their kWh for much less, even for free if they have a photoelectric generating system, commonly known as "solar panels".
No ICEV can get a lower cost per mile than a BEV!
