Went to the owner center this morning to see if it has started to detect charging status as it has been giving the dreaded no able to connect to your vehicle message. Was on the phone last week for about an hour with about 4 different IT trouble agents { and I use that phrase with no confidence in their abilities whatsoever } So today when I tried today the area to update your charging status and mileage and efficiency is gone. Nothing to look at here folks, makes the entire owner center completely useless, { as it wasn't mostly useless before}. OnStar keeps sending me snail mail and email warnings that my trial is about to expire. Thanks for the memories but I will never pay a penny for this BS service.

It's all been moved to https://secure.myvolt.com And yes, I think this was a stupid move as your Volt's statistics are now separated from items like maintenance reminders.

That site is also not working for about 2 weeks now. All it get is try again over and over. The smart phone apps work but not the websites.

It was down for me over the weekend as well but is mostly back up now.

I am currently able to access the site, I am sporting a G1, don't know if that makes a difference. The site has never provided values for all the information points for my car, some of them are '--'. I guess they never really cared to get it all working.

Onstar does great with its core product: crash response. Everything else seems mediocre to me, their websites, their help.

My most recent experience was with our new Bolt EV. The dealer setup Onstar through their channel. Then we get in the car and Onstar operator say they have no record, so we go through the setup all over again. The next day, I test the phone app to lock/unlock the doors, honk the horn, flash the lights, etc. Nothing happened. Tried many times.

Called Onstar from the car. The first tech rep said the account setup wasn't completed! I said it was. I also wondered aloud whether it was even connected to the right account. He said no, I just needed to complete the setup. I asked if he was sure, my app was showing different battery range than my car. No he assured me. You can see where this is going.

I login to my Onstar account, nothing is waiting for setup, but I now notice that the VIN is not my car, lol. Call Onstar again. The lady tells me I'll have to fix that. I said, no, Onstar needs to fix it. They did the setup. Finally get another tech on the call and he sees the issue and fixes it.

So it required three setups, 5 Onstar reps. The only rep that was any good was the last. Sometimes I think they should change their name to NoStar.

P.S. Remeber, I was honking the horn, flashing the lights, locking and unlocking another Bolt somewhere. So add that to the list. If that was your car, sorry. :(

Lol. Hacked another car via OnStar provisioning.

It is likely that it wasn't a Bolt since the VINs are not in sequence because of flex-line builds. It is also likely that the VIN entered was invalid depending on the characters that were incorrect. It's been a long time since I set up OnStar, but, they probably have some sort of algorithm or dbase lookup for validation.

And yeah, the websites are useless. Even the MyCadillac one. (btw, bare mycadillac.com belongs to someone else. lol.)
